Occupancy rate
Occupancy rate shows the percentage of available rooms, pitches or properties that were occupied during a period.
What is occupancy rate?
Occupancy rate shows what percentage of your available units were actually occupied during a given period.
Formula
Occupancy rate = occupied room nights ÷ available room nights × 100%
Example
If you have 10 rooms and sell 180 room nights in a 30-day month, your occupancy rate is 180 ÷ (10 × 30) × 100% = 60%.
Why track it?
Occupancy rate helps you identify seasonal patterns and decide when to raise rates or run promotions. EDICE PMS shows occupancy and revenue in clear real-time reports.
